Tropical Storm Wind Warning now in effect for inland areas of the
eastern Florida Panhandle and Liberty County in the Florida Big
Bend.

As Hurricane Ida approaches the region late Monday night and into
Tuesday... winds will begin to increase with the potential for tropical
storm force winds across the area. These winds will have the
potential to create some power outages... thus make sure you have
on hand non- perishable food items... like canned goods and bottled
water. Tropical storm force winds are capable of causing minor
damage to Mobile homes. Secure light weight items... like garbage
cans and patio furniture. These items will have the potential to
become projectiles during the height of the storm and cause
additional damage.


... Probability of tropical storm/hurricane conditions...
the chance for hurricane conditions at this time is around 5
percent. Also... the chance for tropical storm conditions at this
time is up to 80 percent... especially west of U.S. Highway 231.

... Winds...
as Hurricane Ida approaches... sustained tropical storm force
winds are expected to begin by Tuesday morning with gusts up to 55
mph possible during the height of the storm.

... Inland flooding...
depending on the exact track of Hurricane Ida... storm total
rainfall amounts could approach 3 to 5 inches with locally heavier
amounts possible. This has the potential to cause minor flooding
in urbanized areas as well as for rises in river levels to near
minor flood stage in the days ahead.
