Freeze Warning
Statement as of 9:14 am EDT on October 7, 2008

... Freeze warning remains in effect from midnight tonight to 9 am
EDT Wednesday...
... Frost advisory has expired...

The frost advisory is no longer in effect this morning for the capital
district... Mid Hudson valley and Litchfield County. The freeze
warning does remain in effect from midnight tonight to 9 PM EDT
Wednesday.

The combination of light to calm winds... mainly clear skies...
and a chilly air mass in place across the region will allow
temperatures to fall to around 30 degrees tonight into early
Wednesday morning... with widespread frost expected to form.

A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or
highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other
sensitive vegetation.
