Freeze Warning
Statement as of 3:07 PM EDT on October 7, 2008

... Freeze warning remains in effect from midnight tonight to 9 am
EDT Wednesday...

A freeze warning remains in effect for the capital district... Mid
Hudson valley... and Windham and Litchfield counties from midnight
tonight to 9 am EDT Wednesday.

The combination of light to calm winds... mainly clear skies...
and a chilly air mass in place across the region will allow
temperatures to fall to the mid 20s to lower 30s tonight into
early Wednesday morning. This will result in a widespread
killing frost.

A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or
highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other
sensitive vegetation.
