... Fire Weather Watch in effect from Sunday afternoon through
Tuesday morning...

The National Weather Service in Sacramento has issued a Fire
Weather Watch... which is in effect from Sunday afternoon through
Tuesday morning for gusty wind and low humidity for all of Shasta
County... the northern and central Sacramento Valley and
surrounding foothills... east slopes of the coastal mountains
south to Lake County... and west slopes of the Sierra Nevada
mountains.

North to northeast wind will begin to increase Sunday afternoon
into Sunday evening and become widespread gusty over much of
interior northern California Monday. Wind speeds of 10 to 25 mph
can be expected with gusts of 30 to 45 mph through favored
canyons... passes and ridges. As a result... humidity levels are
forecast to begin decreasing significantly Sunday night with much
lower daytime humidities Monday. Widespread poor overnight
recoveries are expected Monday night as gusty winds continue into
early Tuesday.

The wind is forecast to decrease in most areas Tuesday morning however
locally gusty northeast to east wind with low humidities are likely
to continue over portions of the Sierra Nevada foothills and west
slopes overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning.
