... A Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 1000 PM MST for
central Pima County...

At 842 PM MST... National Weather Service Doppler radar continued to
indicate an area of strong thunderstorms producing 1 to 2 inches of
rainfall over an area of the Tohono Oodham Nation that received 1 to
3 inches earlier in the evening. This was from just south of Santa
Rosa through and east of the covered Wells area and southward near
Highway 86. Storms were nearly stationary.

Locations in the warning include but are not limited to Mountain
Village and covered Wells

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

This includes the following streams and drainages...
San Luis wash... Santa Rosa wash... San Simon wash... Quijotoa wash... Ko
Vaya wash... Sikul Himatk wash... pan wash... Sells wash... murk Kui
wash... GU Achi wash and Comobabi wash.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of washes
and streams... urban areas... highways... streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued an

* urban and small stream flood advisory for...
Pima County in south central Arizona...
this includes the cities of... Tucson... Sells... Oro
Valley... Marana... Green Valley...
Santa Cruz County in Southeast Arizona...
this includes the city of Nogales...

* until 230 am MST Saturday

* at 826 PM MST strong showers and thunderstorms continued to
form across portions of eastern Pima County and the Tohono
Oodham Nation. In addition... scattered thunderstorms were
redeveloping across areas of Santa Cruz County that had
received heavy rainfall earlier. Rainfall amounts in excess
of 1 inch with isolated areas in excess of 2 inches are
expected with stronger storms.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause elevated levels in
washes and streams... and ponding of water in urban areas...
highways... streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage
areas and low lying spots.

Isolated thunderstorms will continue to develop and will be very slow moving. Strongest storms will tend to be over the Oro Valley area and the Catalina mountains. Another area will be Green Valley...Sahuarita and Vail. Rainfall will generally be less than one half of an inch with isolated downpours of up to one inch per hour. Localized street and wash flooding is possible. Strongest storms can contain winds of up to 50 mph.
