for central Pinal and east central Maricopa counties...

At 808 PM MST... National Weather Service Doppler radar continued to

blowing dust will accompany the very strong winds.

Other locations in the warning include but are not limited to Queen
Valley... Randolph... Valley Farms... Florence Junction... Florence and
Cactus Forest.

Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 8:07 PM MST on July 3, 2009

The National Weather Service in Phoenix has issued a

* small stream flood advisory for...
south central Maricopa County in south central Arizona...

* until 1000 PM MST

* at 801 PM MST thunderstorms continued to produce locally heavy
rainfall over and just east of the Sand Tank Mountains in southwest
Maricopa County. Radar indicates that 1 to 2 inches of rain have
fallen over an unpopulated area 10 miles south of Freeman. Washes in
and just east of the Sand Tanks will be running.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A flood advisory means river or stream flows are elevated or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. In
hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to travel across
flooded roads... especially at night when it is very difficult to
determine depth and speed of streamflow. It takes only a few inches
of swiftly flowing water to carry vehicles away.

reported 1.14 inches of rain between 635 PM and 735 PM. Some
roadways were reported to be flooded just south of Sun Lakes.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A flood advisory means river or stream flows are elevated or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. Do not
drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway.
The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross safely.
Move to higher ground. It is especially difficult to determine

Warning... which is in effect until 9 PM MST this evening.

The National Weather Service in Phoenix has issued a dust Storm
Warning... which is in effect until 9 PM MST this evening... for
northwest Pinal County... southwest Maricopa County... and the
southeast valley of the greater Phoenix area. Winds of 35 to 50 mph
