The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of central Arkansas... eastern
Arkansas... southeast Arkansas... southwest Arkansas and western
Arkansas... including the following areas... in central
Arkansas... Garland... Grant... Lonoke... Perry... prairie...
Pulaski and Saline. In eastern Arkansas... Monroe. In southeast
Arkansas... Arkansas... Bradley... Cleveland... Desha... Drew...
Jefferson and Lincoln. In southwest Arkansas... Calhoun...
Clark... Dallas... Hot Spring... Ouachita and Pike. In western
Arkansas... Montgomery and Polk.

* From 7 PM CDT this evening through Thursday morning.

* A cold front will move into Arkansas tonight... and will stall
out near southern Arkansas by Wednesday morning. Showers and
thunderstorms will become widespread over the area... with heavy
rainfall possible over about the southern half of Arkansas.

* As much as two to four inches of rainfall will be possible
tonight through Thursday morning in areas mostly south of a line
from Brinkley... to Little Rock... to Mount Ida... to Mena.
Stronger storms will allow for locally heavier amounts.


A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
