Flood Warning


The Flood Warning continues for
the Ouachita River at Felsenthal.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 7:00 PM Monday the stage was 85.8 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 70.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to a stage of 85.4 feet
by Wednesday morning. Moderate flooding of County roads and bridges
will continue for several days. Detours are necessary and travel in
the area will continue to be difficult.

... Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect from 9 am to 5 PM CST
Tuesday...

A lake Wind Advisory remains in effect from 9 am to 5 PM CST
Tuesday.

What remains of current Tropical Storm Ida will produce a tight
surface pressure gradient across the region on Tuesday. Winds are
expected to increase late tonight and early on Tuesday... with
sustained speeds of 20 mph and gusts to 30 mph possible after 9 am.
Winds should begin to diminish by late Tuesday afternoon.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing.
