Tuesday afternoon...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* a portion of northeast Alabama... including the following
areas... DeKalb... Jackson and Marshall.

* From late tonight through Tuesday afternoon

* tropical moisture will increase over the area tonight as
hurricane remnants move across the Tennessee Valley. As a
result... widespread heavy rainfall of 1 to 3 inches with locally
higher amounts will be possible beginning late tonight through
Tuesday afternoon across northeast Alabama.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
Now is the time to take any necessary precautions to protect life
and property... before the rain begins.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
