| Now An area of rain with embedded scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to move east across parts of southwest Alabama and the western Florida Panhandle through 900 PM this evening. The area of strongest showers and storms will extend from just south of Monroeville...across northern Baldwin County...then southwestward to near downtown Mobile. Locally heavy rainfall is the main hazard expected with these storms...however a few strong thunderstorms with winds up to around 45 mph will be possible through the late evening hours. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches per hour can be expected in a short amount of time...with some localized amounts up to around 2 inches possible. |
