Synopsis For Northern California Waters
A thermal trough along the coast will continue to expand north overnight. This will allow winds to diminish from south to north with near gale force gusts continuing overnight over the northern waters. Light southerly flow will develop over the near shore waters south of Cape Mendocino overnight and will last until northerly winds and seas build over the waters again late Wednesday as the thermal trough shifts south.
