Synopsis For The Middle Texas Coastal Waters
A surface low pressure area located in the western Gulf of Mexico and an upper level disturbance will exit to the northeast tonight allowing a gradual decrease in showers over the region late. Northeast winds and seas will steadily increase through Monday as this surface low strengthens and high pressure sinks southward across Texas. Hurricane Ida is expected to make landfall across the northeast Gulf of Mexico coastline by Tuesday. Winds and seas will slowly diminish by Tuesday as a result. A continued weakening trend is expected to occur through Thursday. As high pressure moves east of the area on Friday...increasing onshore flow is expected.
