| Synopsis Isolated showers will continue over the Lower Texas Gulf waters today as a surface trough of low pressure is located well offshore. Large swells from Hurricane Ida will continue approaching the Lower Texas coast through Tuesday. A Small Craft Advisory is in effect for the Lower Texas Gulf waters through Tuesday...and will likely need to be extended through Tuesday night and possibly early Wednesday due to the persistent large swells and strong north winds across the western Gulf of Mexico. The marine conditions will improve for the rest of the week as the winds and swells subside late Wednesday. |
